On Thursday, October 2, the Panida Theater will host a powerful evening beginning at 7:00 p.m. with a screening of Feel It All, followed by a keynote talk from professional skier, filmmaker, and mental health advocate Drew Petersen. The film chronicles Petersen's deeply personal journey from the depths of suicidal depression to finding resilience through skiing and the incredible challenge of running the Leadville Trail 100. His keynote, My Story is the Story of Our Community, expands on that journey, offering heartfelt insights into how lessons learned in the mountains can inspire healing and help shift the culture around mental health in the Mountain West. Panhandle Preparedness ExpoPanhandle Preparedness Expo
The Panhandle Preparedness Expo, taking place at the Bonner County Fairgrounds, 4203 N. Boyer Rd., is a family-friendly event designed to raise disaster awareness through education and help the community become more self-sufficient. Attendees can explore a variety of vendors, enjoy engaging speakers, and watch live demonstrations suitable for all ages. Admission is $5 for one day or $9 for both days, and you can receive a $1 discount by donating a non-perishable food item to the Bonner County Food Bank. Children 12 and under are admitted free. 11 Sandemonium X. Come celebrate the landmark 10th anniversary of Sandemonium at the 7 B's Only Convention for All Things Nerdy, an inclusive, all-ages event designed to bring together fans of anime, comics, sci-fi, fantasy, tabletop and video games, esports, cinema, and more. Beginning at 10:00 a.m., attendees can enjoy a full day of activities including tabletop games, mini-painting, Magic the Gathering, crafting, and a variety of scheduled highlights such as video free play, a writer's workshop with Quinne, a video tournament, a mini-figure painting contest, and the ever-popular cosplay contest.
