Sport and outdoor events in November 2024!

24 Sunday Football. Join in at Utara Brewing Company, 214 Pine St. for the 1:15 p.m. watch party. The kitchen will be closed, so bring food.

25 Monday Night Football. Join at Utara Brewing Company, 214 Pine St. for Baltimore at Los Angeles.

29 The Pond Ice Rink Opening Day. Come and check them out on opening day. Book tickets, and more at skatethepond.com.

*Registration Open for Adult Coed Volleyball. *Update* There are only spots left on A4 league. Players will officiate their own games. A gym supervisor will be supplies, but no officials. Team registration is online with a $20 non-refundable fee to hold your team's spot in the league. Registration deadline is December 19, 2024. *Registration Open for Youth Basketball League. Focus is on fun and fundamentals. Play is split into 3/4 girls; 3/4 boys; 5/6 girls; 5/6 boys. Teams will practice once a week with a game on Saturday. Dates of play are in February and March, 2025 at Sandpoint Middle School. Fee is $41.70. Registration deadline January 16, 2025. *Registration Open for Little Dribblers Basketball. This clinic style program is designed to introduce first and second grade kids to the sport of basketball. To teach the basics of the game with a heavy emphasis on dribbling and ball handling. It's a fun and engaging program that the kids love. Play is in the months of February and March, 2025 at Kootenai Elementary School. Registration deadline is January 19, 2025. Fee $41.70. 1 Seahawks @ Jets Watch Party. Join at Utara, 214 Pine St. starting at 10 a.m. volume will be up and kitchen will be open.

24 Toyota Ski Friday. Bring your Toyota, Scion, or Lexus to Schweitzer, 10000 Schweitzer Mountain Rd., and get one free lift ticket for the day. Once you get there, look for the Toyota and Schweitzer representatives stationed at the Red Barn Shuttle Parking at the bottom of the mountain. Get more info here.

 

Camps

**Winter Break Camp. This program is designed to meet the needs of working parents in our community with children in K-5th grade and is put on by Sandpoint City Rec. A safe and fun environment is provided, and includes organized games, arts and crafts, health and wellness physical activity, and plenty of time to socialize. This all day program will take place on non student school days. A parent/guardian packet with important program information will be sent to registered families before the program begins. Cost is $40/day per child and scholarships are available. This new program will take place at the Sandpoint Community Hall. Drop off starts at 8 a.m. and pick up is at 5:30 p.m. contact [email protected] with any questions.

 

Youth Sports Jersey Recycling Program

Have your kids outgrown their red and white youth league jerseys? Put them to great use by donating laundered, gently used jerseys back to Sandpoint Parks and Recreation. Each year, Sandpoint's P&R gives out approximately $2,000 in scholarships to youth programs, generously donated by various organizations. That money covers jersey costs as well as program fees - unless we have previously used, donated jerseys we can offer those who can't afford to purchase them. Help keep more money in the scholarship fund for kids to access for recreation program fees by donating jerseys when your children finishes the youth leagues.

Area Golf Courses

Elks Golf Club. This nine-hole course is closest to town, just outside the Sandpoint city limits off Highway 200 East. 208-263-4321. SandpointElks.com.

The Idaho Club. 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course caters to all ability levels and awes all who set foot upon its fairways. Firs and colorful native shrubs frame expertly laid holes, all with striking views of the surrounding mountains.
