Step into the enchanting world of Sandpoint Onstage as they unveil their latest theatrical masterpiece: a captivating, BBC-style 1900s original Sherlock adventure on the main stage of the historic Panida Theater, 300 N. First Ave. taking place over three nights on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday - April 19, 20, and 21. Prepare to be transported to a realm of intrigue and deduction, where mystery, comedy, and emotional depth intertwines seamlessly in the talented hands of Sandpoint playwright Teresa Pesce. Each performance promises an unforgettable evening filled with twists, turns, and moments of theatrical brilliance. Earth Day Shoreline Cleanup:
In celebration of Earth Day, the Idaho Conservation League is partnering with the City of Sandpoint to host a clean up of City Beach, lower Sand Creek, and the Pend Oreille Bay Trail. Join at the City Beach pavilion and let's clear the shorelines and waterways of trash in preparation for summer. Bags and gloves will be provided, as well as snacks and warm refreshments donated by Evans Brothers. This is a great volunteer opportunity for families, groups, and businesses. Registration is not required, but is encouraged to help with planning. Volunteer check-in will begin at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, April 20. Register here.

19 Live Music with the RUB - Spring Fling/Season Bender Concert. Doors of the Hive, 207 N. 19 Great Gatsby. Starting at 7 p.m., and taking place in the Panida Little Theater, 300 N. First Ave., is a screening of the 2013 Great Gatsby movie starring Leonardo DiCaprio as a pre-event, and to gain inspiration for the Waldorf School's upcoming Gatsby Gala Spring Auction being held on May 11 at the Hive. 19-20 Jingle! A Curtain Call Production. Someone has kidnapped Grams! Jodie and her new friend have to corral clues and sidestep the law to find here fast. Enjoy this delightful small town play featuring the Curtain Call cast and crew of Bonners Ferry. This play will be held at The Historic Pearl Theater, 7160 Ash Street, in Bonners Ferry with one showtime on the 19th at 7 p.m. and two showtimes on the 20th at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.

19-20 Live Radio Shows. Out of the Box Entertainment presents an evening of comedy with two live radio shows performed on stage. Event will occur at the Create Arts Center, 900 Fourth St. in Newport starting at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at CreateArts.org for $12, or $15 at the door. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

This pancake breakfast will be held at the Gardenia Center, 400 Church St. and will include a silent auction, and a treat sale. General tickets are a recommended donation of $15 per person, or family tickets for 4+ people are recommended at $35.

20 Lincoln Dinner Gala - Restoring Election Integrity. The Bonner County Republicans annual Lincoln Dinner Gala fundraiser will be taking place at the Bonner County Fairgrounds, 4203 N. Boyer Ave. from 5-9 p.m. Guest speaker, Professor David Clements will join and speak on restoring election integrity. Klondike will be catering the prime rib dinner. 23 KRFY Little Live Radio Hour. Featuring Patrice Webb with Doug Bond and Desiree Agjuirre in the Panida Little Theater starting at 8 p.m. Each month, KRFY host Jack Peterson, chats with a local musician between songs and creates a fun listening environment to be heard live on the radio, or actually in the room if you can make it down. It's free to attend, but please arrive by 7:45 p.m. and get settled in before the 8 p.m. live broadcast. Show length is one hour.

26 Bridges Home Trio Reunion & Food For Our Children Benefit Concert. Great music joins forces with a great cause when Bridges Home Trio takes the stage for a reunion concert. All proceeds will be going to support Food For our Children, a non-profit working to feed hungry kids in our community. This night of entertainment celebrates the first time all three band members have held a public performance since the spring of 2020 as COVID-related guidelines forced cancellations. It's also Dave's 70th birthday, and you're invited to join in as he celebrates four decades of entertaining local audiences. Concert will be held at the Panida, 300 N. A bioblitz is a communal citizen-science effort to record as many species within a designated location and time period as possible, and that will be happening here in Bonner County. Download the iNaturalist app, and take part in contributing to science and enjoying the beauty of Bonner County. Get more information at iNaturalist.org.

27 Street Scramble Sandpoint #9. You will have three hours to get as many points as possible from navigating to numerous checkpoints marked on a map of the Sandpoint Area. Do it on foot, or on bicycle. You must call John Harbuck at 208-263-9894 by Thursday evening, April 25 to make sure you get a map. Cost is $10. Event will start at the Sandpoint YMCA, 1905 Pine St. with registration at 9 a.m., maps distributed at 9:45 a.m. and an event start time of 10 a.m. Sponsored by the Eastern Washington Orienteering Club. 27 Grand Opening - Verdant Plant Shop. Join at the Cedar Street Bridge to celebrate both the grand opening of the Verdant Plant Shop and the reopening of the bridge. Treats, raffle, and fun. The Verdant Plant Shop is upstairs, but the entire bridge is packed to the rafters with amazing artists and vendors. 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

27 MCC: The Gardener's Gathering. Come on out to the Memorial Community Center, 415 Wellington Place, Hope, for a meeting of the Gardener's Gathering at 10 a.m. Beginners and experts are welcome to talk gardening for an hour. 28 Terry Rob Finger Style Guitar Workshop. Guitar players workshop for all levels. 28 Kaniksu Folk School - Monthly Herbal Walks. 1-4 p.m. at The Big Red Shed, 11735 W. Pine St. Instructor Meryl Kastin is a Clinical and Field Herbalist for over 40 years. Learn to positively ID plants as well as when and how best to gather them and how to use them for food and/or medicine. Also identify some of the most poisonous plants in North America. Attend each month's walks to see the various plant stages of the same plants as well as the progression through the seasons of the herbs to use. 28: $5 Movie: Field of Dreams. When Iowa farmer Ray (Kevin Costner) hears a mysterious voice one night in his cornfield saying "If you build it, he will come," he feels the need to act. Despite taunts of lunacy, Ray builds a baseball diamond on his land, supported by his wife, Annie (Amy Madigan). Afterward, the ghosts of great players start emerging from the crops to play ball, led by "Shoeless" Joe Jackson. 29-May 2 Idaho Gives. Idaho gives is a program of the Idaho Nonprofit Center and is powered by ICCU. It is designed to bring the state together, raising money and awareness for Idaho non-profits. Donations will be collected from April 29 thru May 2. There are many local nonprofits to donate to through Idaho gives - check idahogives.org to find an organization to support.

3 Kendal Mountain Tour 2024. Kendal Mountain Tour is Britain's biggest adventure film festival. This is the second year the film tour has made its way overseas to the Panida Theater, 300 N. First Ave., with a collection of seven mountain, cultural, and adventure films for 2024. Show starts at 7 p.m. with doors opening 1 hour before the show. Get tickets at Panida.org.

3 Registration Deadline for Women in the Woods. All humans are welcome at this women-centric forestry skills field day at Pine St. Woods, 11915 W. Pine St. For a $10 registration fee, you get access to 9 different forest-topic stations, lunch, camaraderie, and your new favorite t-shirt. Register by May 3. 3-4 Spring into Dover. Just in time for Mothers Day! Local crafters and vendors come together in a beautiful location so that you can shop for that unique gift. Come check out some local craftsman or try out the new flavors of Nutlicious hazelnut spreads from noon to 7 p.m. on Friday and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday. Event will be held at Nutlicious, 25820 Hwy. 2, Dover.

3-5 May Women's Retreat: Crescent Moon Bear, a story of transformation and healing. Be a part of the women's retreat at the Scotia House from the evening of May 3 thru late afternoon on May 5. The weekend will include storytelling, authentic movement, expressive arts, dreamwork, and community. Cost is $129-$189 (sliding scale) plus $70 for two nights lodging. $100 for a private room. 4: 3/4 Minus Cykeltur. This event is a timed gravel grinder consisting of two different routes. The 52-mile One-Humper, and the 76-mile Two-Humper. Both routes follow mixed surface secondary roads, and the Two-Humper includes a four-mile twist of single-track trail. More info.

4-5 Valley Vista Spring Craft Show. Come for the crafts, but enjoy the face painting; hay rides; music; bounce house; pony rides; food; and more! The Ponderay Bike Rodeo will take place at McNearney Park, 55 McNearney Road (behind the Animal Shelter) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be a BBQ from noon to 2 p.m. Bring your bike or scooter, and helmet (there will be some available for kids who do not have one - while supplies last). There will be a bike safety check with minor repairs offered. Learn about bike safety and practice your skills.

5 Leadership Sandpoint Cinco de Mayo Block Party. It's a block party in downtown Sandpoint! Help support the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). Join for live music, a raffle, an auction, and activities for the whole family. Local food and drink vendors will show off their best Cinco de Mayo offerings. Event will be held from 12:00-4:00 p.m. on the block of 113 Main St. There is no entry fee, but there will be tickets for food and drinks available to purchase. See the Facebook event here.

5 Sandpoint Cinco de Mayo at Eichardt's. Music Bridges Borders would like to invite everyone to this annual event at Eichardt's, 212 Cedar St., starting at noon in the alley (in case of rain it will move indoors). There will be delicious food, drinks, games, and salsa dancing lessons.

7 Health Hikes. Experience the health, happiness, and community connection of hiking in your community forest, Pine Street Woods, 11915 W. Pine St., with free monthly Health Hikes. A 45-minute morning nature hike with one of our partner medical professionals will include a group discussion on a current health topic. 7 Music Matters! Children Performing for Children Presents Music R U.S. This is a free event that will be held at the Panida, 300 N. First Ave. Children Performing for Children by The Music Conservatory of Sandpoint's after school program; Music Matters!
